Less than 2% of social housing is handed over to new tenants furnished - so no beds, no table or chairs, no curtains, no flooring and no kitchen appliances.
Furnishing Futures is a charity which was set up to help women and children who have been rehoused after fleeing domestic abuse by furnishing these empty homes using good-quality, donated furnishings.
I was asked by Furnishing Futures to document their team of volunteers as they furnish of one of these homes.
